APC France Participates in Historic Launch of Renewed Hope Ambassadors–Diaspora Headquarters and UK Chapter.
The Chairlady of the All Progressives Congress (APC) France Chapter, Hajia Amina Baba Suzuki, joined party leaders, government officials, diaspora representatives and community stakeholders in London for the official inauguration of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors–Diaspora Headquarters and United Kingdom Chapter.

The historic ceremony, held at the Grand Empire Lounge in Catford, London, was organised under the theme: *“Connecting Global Expertise with Local Governance: The Role of the Nigerian Diaspora in the Renewed Hope Agenda.”*
The event marked an important step towards strengthening collaboration between Nigerians abroad and the institutions responsible for Nigeria’s governance and national development. It also created a permanent platform for mobilising the knowledge, professional expertise, investment capacity and international networks of Nigerians in the diaspora.
Among the distinguished personalities acknowledged at the ceremony were His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, and His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State and Deputy Director-General of the organisation.
Also recognised were Hon. Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission; Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State; and Hon. Tunde Doherty, Director of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors–Diaspora and Chairman of APC United Kingdom.
Delivering the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the APC France Chapter and the wider APC family across Europe, Hajia Amina Baba Suzuki described the inauguration as more than the opening of a headquarters or the establishment of another chapter.
“It represents the building of a bridge between Nigerians abroad and the institutions responsible for the development of our beloved country. It also represents a renewed commitment to bringing the knowledge and professional experience of the Nigerian diaspora into the service of our nation.”
She commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for providing the movement with direction and purpose and for recognising the strategic importance of Nigerians living outside the country. She also praised Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to inclusive governance, peace, human development and grassroots engagement.
Hajia Amina Suzuki expressed special appreciation to Hon. Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa for her consistent advocacy on behalf of Nigerians abroad and for promoting the diaspora as an important national constituency with valuable knowledge, skills, influence and development potential.
She also congratulated Hon. Tayo SHODEINDE and the organising team for successfully establishing the Renewed Hope Ambassadors–Diaspora Headquarters in London.
"The establishment of this headquarters is a remarkable achievement. It provides a permanent platform for coordination, communication, mobilisation, policy dialogue and collaboration among Nigerians across Europe and the wider world,” she stated.
The APC France Chairlady assured the leadership and members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors–Diaspora UK Chapter of APC France’s full support and readiness to collaborate.
She noted that France and the United Kingdom are home to large and active Nigerian communities and emphasised that closer cooperation between diaspora chapters would strengthen political awareness, encourage responsible participation, promote investment, support community initiatives and improve the communication of government policies and achievements.
Hajia Amina Suzuki reaffirmed APC France’s unwavering support for the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“As Nigerians abroad, we have a duty to contribute to the progress of our country. We must remain good ambassadors of Nigeria, defend the truth, correct misinformation and encourage constructive dialogue.”
She stressed that diaspora engagement must operate as a two-way partnership in which Nigerians abroad support national development while government leaders listen to their concerns, recommendations and expectations.
Hajia Amina Suzuki encouraged the newly inaugurated leadership to ensure that the headquarters becomes a centre for developing ideas, building partnerships and connecting practical solutions to the needs of Nigerian communities and the country.
She called for the meaningful involvement of Nigerian professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, doctors, engineers, women, young people and community leaders in governance and national development.
Concluding her address, the APC France Chairlady reminded participants that the inauguration marked the beginning of a greater responsibility.
“Let us ensure that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors–Diaspora becomes a movement known not only for words and ceremonies, but for meaningful programmes, measurable results and lasting contributions to Nigeria’s development.”
