APC France Chapter Pays Courtesy Visit to Nigeria’s New Ambassador to France.
APC France Congratulates Ambassador Ayodele Oke and Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Nigeria-France Relations.

On 8 June 2026, the leadership of APC France Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the French Republic, His Excellency Ambassador Ayodele Oke, at the Embassy of Nigeria in Paris.
The delegation was led by the Chairperson of APC France Chapter, Hajiya Aminat Suzuki Baba, accompanied by Honourable Dr. Ibrahim Ali Kachalla, Organising Secretary of the Chapter, and Honourable Akogun Olamikekan Torino, General Secretary of the Chapter.
Strengthening Nigeria & France Relations.
The visit was organized to formally welcome and congratulate Ambassador Ayodele Oke on his appointment and assumption of duty as Nigeria’s Ambassador to France.
In her welcome address, Hajiya Aminat Suzuki Baba described the Ambassador’s appointment as a strategic decision by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, reflecting confidence in his vast experience, competence, and dedication to national service.
She noted that Ambassador Oke’s distinguished career at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has provided him with the expertise required to strengthen diplomatic relations, promote Nigeria’s interests, and support the welfare of Nigerians residing in France.
APC France Reaffirms Support for the Embassy

During the meeting, the Chairperson emphasized APC France Chapter’s unwavering commitment to working closely with the Embassy in advancing Nigeria’s national interests and promoting stronger bilateral relations between Nigeria and France.
She highlighted the chapter’s longstanding contribution to the Nigerian diaspora community, noting that APC France has remained one of the oldest and most active APC chapters outside Nigeria for over fourteen years.
The chapter has consistently promoted Nigeria’s positive image abroad, mobilized support among Nigerians in the diaspora, and contributed to strengthening engagement between Nigerians overseas and the homeland.
Special tribute was paid to the Chairman Emeritus, Chief Mohammed Shaheed Balogun, Mayegun of France, whose vision and leadership laid the foundation for the chapter’s continued growth and success.
Commitment to Investment and National Development.

The delegation reiterated its readiness to support initiatives that will attract investment, strengthen economic cooperation, and create opportunities for collaboration between French institutions and Nigeria.
As active stakeholders in Nigeria’s development, APC France pledged to continue promoting the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to encourage greater diaspora participation in nation-building.
The Chairperson assured Ambassador Oke that APC France Chapter stands ready to collaborate with the Embassy in:
* Promoting Nigeria’s positive image in France;
* Encouraging investment and economic partnerships;
* Supporting Nigerians living in France;
* Strengthening Nigeria–France relations;
* Enhancing diaspora engagement in national development initiatives.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and reflected the shared commitment of both the Embassy and APC France Chapter to fostering stronger ties between Nigeria and France while advancing the interests of Nigerians in the diaspora.
APC France Chapter expressed confidence that Ambassador Ayodele Oke’s tenure will be successful, impactful, and beneficial to Nigeria, France, and the Nigerian community in France.
The Chapter once again congratulates His Excellency on his appointment and looks forward to a productive partnership with the Embassy in the service of Nigeria.
