APC FRANCE CHAPTER PARTICIPATES IN THE APC DIASPORA WOMEN GLOBAL SUMMIT IN ROME, ITALY
The Chairperson of the APC France Chapter, Hajiya Amina Baba Suzuki, joined distinguished women leaders, party stakeholders, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the diaspora at the APC Diaspora Women Global Summit, held on 27 June 2026 in Rome, Italy.

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Surajudeen Basiru, has called on Nigerian women in the diaspora to mobilise support for the continuity of President Bola Tinubu’s reforms and the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Basiru said the APC was committed to expanding opportunities for women within the party and in public governance, while positioning gender inclusion as a major pillar of its political philosophy.
He stated this while delivering the keynote address titled, “From Renewed Hope to Lasting Impact: Diaspora Women Advancing Impact Continuity,” at the APC Diaspora/Global Women Summit 2026 held in Rome, Italy.
The landmark summit, championed by the National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Dr. Mary Alile Idele (PhD), brought together APC women leaders from Europe and other parts of the world to strengthen collaboration, promote women’s political participation, and reaffirm support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The conference provided an important platform for dialogue on the role of women in nation-building, leadership, economic empowerment, grassroots mobilization, and strengthening the APC’s presence across the diaspora. Participants shared experiences and strategies for expanding women’s participation in politics while reinforcing the party’s vision of inclusive governance and sustainable national development.
A major highlight of the summit was the official launch of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) Diaspora Movement for the Italy Chapter. The launch marks another significant milestone in expanding the Renewed Hope movement across the diaspora. Organizers announced that the next Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) Diaspora launches will take place in France and the United States of America, further strengthening the movement’s global structure and grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During the summit, Hajiya Amina Baba Suzuki, Chairperson of APC France Chapter, expressed her appreciation to the National Woman Leader for her visionary leadership and for bringing together women from across the globe under one platform.
She reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of APC France Chapter and the wider European diaspora to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilizing Nigerians abroad in promoting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
According to her, the summit demonstrated that women remain one of the strongest pillars of the party and will continue to play a strategic role in strengthening the APC both at home and throughout the diaspora.
The event also celebrated the growing recognition of Nigerians in the diaspora as vital partners in national development and encouraged stronger collaboration between the party leadership and APC chapters across Europe and beyond.
The Rome gathering concluded with a renewed commitment by participants to deepen unity among APC women worldwide, strengthen grassroots political engagement, mentor the next generation of female leaders, and contribute actively to the continued success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
APC France Chapter commends Hon. Dr. Mary Alile Idele for her exemplary leadership, dedication to women’s inclusion, and commitment to building a stronger and more united APC family across the globe. The chapter also congratulates the APC Italy Chapter on the successful inauguration of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) Diaspora Movement and looks forward to hosting the movement’s official launch in France, followed by the United States, as the Renewed Hope family continues to expand across the diaspora.
As the party continues to strengthen its global reach, APC France Chapter remains committed to working closely with the National Working Committee, the National Woman Leader, the Tinubu Torch Bearers Movement, and all APC diaspora chapters in advancing the ideals of unity, service, women’s empowerment, and national development.
Together, we will continue to build a stronger APC, empower more women, and contribute to a greater Nigeria under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The summit was also graced by the presence of Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru (PhD), National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, whose attendance further demonstrated the party’s commitment to engaging and strengthening its diaspora structures. The event was proudly hosted by Prince Chima Ibezim, Chairman of APC Italy Chapter, who welcomed leaders and participants to Rome for this important gathering.
