APC FRANCE CHAPTER PARTICIPATES IN GLOBAL DIASPORA STRATEGIC CONFERENCE ON RENEWED HOPE AGENDA
The APC France Chapter joined hundreds of party leaders, stakeholders, and members from across the globe at the Strategic Global Diaspora Conference organized by the Directorate of Diaspora and Global Affairs of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. The virtual conference, held via Zoom and moderated by Mr. Mac Babafemi, brought together over 600 participants from Africa, Europe, America, Canada, the Middle East, and Australia to strengthen unity among APC members in the diaspora and discuss strategies

In his remarks, the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Governor of Imo State emphasized the importance of diaspora unity, grassroots mobilization, and sustained support for President Tinubu’s administration. He noted that Nigerians in the diaspora remain critical stakeholders whose engagement will contribute significantly to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda and future electoral victories.
Also speaking at the conference, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, who serves as the Deputy Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, commended Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa for convening the strategic engagement. He highlighted the crucial role of Nigerians abroad in mobilizing grassroots support, promoting government policies, and contributing meaningfully to the political development of the nation.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, stressed the need for greater unity among diaspora communities and called for effective communication of government reforms and achievements. He advocated for the establishment of structured media teams to counter misinformation, promote Nigeria’s progress, and project a positive image of the country globally. The APC National Chairman further underscored the importance of diaspora participation in voter education, investment mobilization, and advocacy for the administration’s achievements.
In her address, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) and Director of the Diaspora Directorate, reaffirmed her commitment to engaging millions of APC members abroad through effective communication strategies and policy dissemination initiatives.
The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard Doro, spoke on the need to connect diaspora expertise and capacity with grassroots governance. He emphasized the importance of building a vibrant media structure involving young Nigerians to effectively communicate government achievements and address misinformation.
Similarly, the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor and Lagos State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Chief Tayo Ayinde, highlighted key economic reforms and achievements of President Tinubu’s administration. According to him, notable developments include renewed investor confidence demonstrated by Shell’s return to Nigeria, ongoing infrastructural development projects, and the introduction of interest-free student loans through NELFund.
Representing APC France and the wider European diaspora community, the Chairperson of APC France Chapter, Hajiya Aminat Suzuki, expressed appreciation to the organizers for creating a platform that recognizes Nigerians abroad as important stakeholders in national development.
Speaking on behalf of APC chapters in France and Europe, she stated:
On behalf of the executives and members of APC Europe Chapters, I wish to express our appreciation to the Renewed Hope Agenda Committee for organizing this important engagement with APC leaders and members in the diaspora. It demonstrates the value our party places on Nigerians abroad as key stakeholders in national development.
I want to assure our leaders that APC Chapters in France and Europe remain fully committed to the vision and leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
We recognize the positive reforms and courageous decisions being taken to reposition our nation for sustainable growth and prosperity. As Nigerians in the diaspora, we will continue to serve as proud ambassadors of our country, promoting Nigeria’s image, defending the achievements of our government, and engaging our communities constructively.
APC Chapters in Europe stand ready to work closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda Committee, the party leadership, and all diaspora chapters to ensure that the message of Renewed Hope reaches every Nigerian and translates into electoral success in 2027 and beyond. Together, by the grace of God, we will continue to strengthen our party, support President Tinubu’s transformational agenda, and deliver greater progress for our nation.”
The Chairman of the Diaspora Committee of Chairmen (CDC), Mr. Tunde Doherty, and the Operational Director of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Mr. Tayo Shodeinde, both described the conference as a landmark gathering of APC diaspora leaders and representatives from chapters across the world. They emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination among various regions to advance the party’s future initiatives and deepen diaspora participation in national affairs.
Throughout the conference, discussions centered on the importance of grassroots engagement, unity among diaspora communities, improved communication channels, and the creation of a comprehensive compendium of President Tinubu’s achievements for dissemination across diaspora networks. Participants also called for stronger coordination with government officials and greater access to party leadership to enhance effective engagement.
The conference concluded with a renewed commitment by participants to strengthen collaboration across continents, support the Renewed Hope Agenda, and continue promoting Nigeria’s development and positive image globally.
The Strategic Global Diaspora Conference is expected to continue as a regular engagement platform, providing APC members in the diaspora with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to national development and the success of the party’s vision for Nigeria.
